Paterson (Safety Air Systems) Ltd is the leading independent Breathing Air specialist company in Scotland with more than 35 years’ experience in the field. We are based in Twechar, on the outskirts of Glasgow, and we provide our services across Scotland and The North of England.
We pride ourselves in the professionalism, high standard and workmanship of our engineers, and our ability to interpret, understand and deliver the level of service demanded by our customers.

Breathing Air Compressor
We cover all aspects of High-Pressure Breathing Air Compressors. From supply, installation, service, scheduled maintenance, training, and any other aspects of Breathing Air Compressor requirements. We work in close partnership with the manufacturers using only genuine spare parts, always offering best quality and service to our customers.
Breathing Apparatus
We cover all aspects of Breathing Apparatus, from the supply, servicing, scheduled maintenance, hire, and training for the market leading breathing apparatus manufacturers.

Cylinder Test and Inspection
We are a UKAS Accredited cylinder test station appointed by the VCA, conducting periodic inspection and test to recognised standards on a wide range of gas cylinders.
Training
We cover a wide variety of training both here at our purpose-built training facility and on site. Our training ranges from Breathing Air to Confined Space. Each of our instructors has a vast knowledge gained over many years in their individual subjects. Training aids are provided, and certification will be provided on successful completion on all of our courses.
Equipment Hire
We cover all aspects of Breathing Air Compressors supply, training, maintenance and any other requirement from a one-off purchase to Total Care.
Face Fit Testing
We offer quantitative face fit testing covering all types of tight fighting face pieces from disposable dust masks to full face masks using the latest TSI portacount face fit tester.
Our technicians are all manufacturer certificated to carry out this service both on and off site.
Certification is provided with every completed face fit test.
